{"id":1245846,"date":"2022-11-07T14:20:27","date_gmt":"2022-11-07T14:20:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/07\/liverpool-fc-put-up-for-sale-by-owners-fsg\/"},"modified":"2022-11-07T14:20:27","modified_gmt":"2022-11-07T14:20:27","slug":"liverpool-fc-put-up-for-sale-by-owners-fsg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/11\/07\/liverpool-fc-put-up-for-sale-by-owners-fsg\/","title":{"rendered":"Liverpool FC put up for sale by owners, FSG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\">\n<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" class=\"entry-thumb\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/community-shield-trophy-lift-30072022-696x392.jpg\"   alt=\"Liverpool celebrate Community Shield\" title=\"Liverpool celebrate Community Shield\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Liverpool celebrate Community Shield <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>In a shock development on Monday, it has emerged that Liverpool FC owners Fenway Sports Group are now inviting offers for the sale of the club.<\/p>\n<p>FSG have been in charge of Liverpool since their takeover in 2010, and though they have been polarising figures throughout the 12 years since, they have brought success to Anfield.<\/p>\n<p>In that time, the Reds have won eight trophies including the\u00a0Premier League\u00a0and\u00a0Champions League, reaching two more finals in the latter.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>Much of that has come during the historic reign of\u00a0Jurgen Klopp, who recently committed his long-term future to the club with a new contract that ties him down to 2026.<\/p>\n<p>However, it appears FSG may not be owners by the time Klopp\u2019s deal expires, with\u00a0The Athletic\u2018s David Ornstein reporting that the club is now up for sale.<\/p>\n<p>Ornstein writes that \u201ca full sales presentation has been produced for interested parties,\u201d and financial companies \u201cGoldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley have been retained to assist with the process.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/P2022-05-28-UCL_Final-98-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"PARIS, FRANCE - Saturday, May 28, 2022: Liverpool's owner John W.
