The 25-year-old grabbed the back of his left thigh after making a sprint, falling to the ground.<\/p>\n<p>He was helped from the field by Chelsea\u2019s medical staff and was pictured leaving Stamford Bridge on crutches. The Premier League club confirmed on Saturday that he had \u201csuffered a significant injury\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/22191989129,1002554\/MGL\/mgl_ado_atunwa_300x250 --><\/p>\n<p>Chilwell, who was a part of England\u2019s Euro 2020 squad, missed a chunk of last season due to a ruptured cruciate ligament but had returned to Chelsea\u2019s first team fold this season with 13 appearances in all competitions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing my ACL injury I worked so hard to make sure I was ready for the World Cup. It has always been a dream of mine,\u201d Chilwell wrote on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, this won\u2019t be possible following my scan results.
