Bechem United handed Asante Kotoko their first defeat in the 2022\/2023 Ghana Premier League season\u00a0 in a crunchy game at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kumasi Asante Kotoko started the game strongly but fell behind after a controversial penalty that was awarded in the first half of the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bechem United added to their tally in the second half to ensure that they took all the 3 points from the match and handed a first defeat of the season to last season\u2019s champions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking after the game, Coach for Bechem United Kasim Ocansey Mingle was full of praise for his players. The coach said \u201cBefore the commencement of the game, I told you we were going to beat them. The pitch will decide and the pitch has decided. It is a work in progress, we started slowly and we have now come in. You know in football at times when you start it doesn’t go well for you. If you look at the two previous matches we lost, we were the better side which means we were doing something wrong so we had to rectify it.”<\/span><\/p>\n

With the win, Bechem United have moved to the top half of the table.<\/span><\/p>\n
