November through March is considered peak wedding season.<\/p>\n
The sun is out, which means the bridal couple can have pretty much any type of wedding they want.<\/p>\n
Whether it\u2019s a casual beach wedding, a sunset soir\u00e9e or lunch in a vineyard, they certainly have far more options than in winter.<\/p>\n
Great for bride and groom, but often wedding guests are left struggling to find the perfect outfits.<\/p>\n
While most couples are quite specific about dress code, be it casual, formal or black tie, there are others who leave it up to the guests.<\/p>\n
However, this doesn\u2019t mean that you as a guest can wear anything you want.<\/p>\n
Here is a guide to what you CANNOT wear to a wedding.<\/p>\n
Never wear all white<\/strong><\/p>\n This should be an unwritten rule and a no-brainer but it seems some people still don\u2019t get it.<\/p>\n You simply don\u2019t wear all-white to a wedding.<\/p>\n It\u2019s the bride\u2019s day. She wears white. Not you.<\/p>\n Now of course there are exceptions. There are some brides who have a specific wedding theme in mind and would like their guests to wear white. Then and only then are you allowed to.<\/p>\n Revealing outfits<\/strong><\/p>\n Granted cut-out dresses, crop tops and thigh-high slits are all the rage right now, but let\u2019s reserve those revealing outfits for the club, dinner dates and nights out with the girls.<\/p>\n A wedding is not the place to let it all hang loose.<\/p>\n Again, the wedding is about the bridal couple. Do not go out of your way to draw too much attention away from them.<\/p>\n No jeans and T-shirts<\/strong><\/p>\n It\u2019s not a braai! Even if the wedding invitation says casual, it\u2019s never going to be THAT casual.<\/p>\n If it\u2019s a beach wedding, don\u2019t you dare think of wearing flip-flops, either.<\/p>\n If there isn\u2019t a dress code specified on the wedding invitation, nothing prevents you from checking with the bride and groom. It might have just been an oversight on their part.<\/p>\n
