The Radiance Petroleum Limited has marked 10 years of its contribution to the country\u2019s downstream petroleum industry.<\/h2>\n
Dubbed, \u201cThis Far by Grace,\u201d the anniversary, marked on Sunday, October 16, began with a series of activities including customer service week, a visit to an orphanage among others and was climaxed with a thanksgiving service and dinner.<\/p>\n
Radiance journey<\/strong><\/p>\n At the anniversary celebration in Accra, the Managing Director (MD) of Radiance Petroleum Limited, Mr Emmanuel Pobee, said like every successful business, Radiance\u2019s journey has not been without its difficult paths.<\/p>\n He said what helped the company through the difficult paths and made it stronger and a shining example among competitors was its resolve to grow through its turbid experiences, focusing on its vision, and never compromising its values.<\/p>\n \u201cAlong the journey, we were blessed to have, against the odds, turned some lemons which were thrown at us into lemonades, and in the process helped us to enrich our operational processes. Today\u2019s milestone marks both an end and a new beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe say goodbye to a glorious decade of slow and steady growth with great learning, and usher ourselves into a new decade that builds on the growth, learning and achievements of the past,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Mr Pobee added that, \u201cWhat we know for certain is that the new decade will be entirely different from the one just ended.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cChanges in regulatory framework, changes to Deregulation policy, advancement in LPG cylinder re-circulation programme, advancement in Energy transitioning, and changes in the technological and financial landscape may change the phase of the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n The Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Radiance Petroleum Limited, Joseph Addae, added that the 10 years of operating the company had not been easy, counting dealing with the challenges of the financial sector, COVID-19 outbreak and the recent Russia-Ukraine war.<\/p>\n The downstream<\/strong><\/p>\n The Business and Strategy Analyst at Association of Oil Marketing Company (AOMC), Alfred Addo-Yobo, commended Radiance Petroleum Limited for its contribution in the industry.<\/p>\n \u201cSince its establishment in the petroleum downstream industry a decade ago, Radiance Petroleum has contributed millions of cedis monthly in taxes and levies to the government as well as their zero compromise on safety, making them a force to be reckoned with in the industry,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Mr Addo-Yobo added that \u201cthe company\u2019s core objective has always been to make sure that when we visit any of their stations for fuel purchases, we can conduct our business safely and conveniently\u201d.<\/p>\n He said Radiance Petroleum has shown resilience against the harsh tides of the industry despite the depreciation of the local currency, which has led to many companies collapsing or being placed on ventilators.<\/p>\n This, he said, could not be magic but rather sound business principles by the hardworking management under the direction of the board of directors.<\/p>\n Radiance\u2019s contribution<\/strong><\/p>\n Radiance was licensed by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) on November 9, 2012 with three stations at Abesim \u2013 Sunyani, Ajumako and Nyanyano.<\/p>\n Its provisional licence was confirmed in November, 2013.<\/p>\n Since then, it has gone on to acquire other licenses such as Bunkering licence, Lubricant Blending licence and Mining Support Services licence.<\/p>\n Currently, it has 37 outlets and a staff of over 230 people.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
