Award-winning Radio and Television personality, Deloris Frimpong Manso popularly known as Delay has revealed that she IS one of the few people who have made the \u201cTwi\u201d presentation \u201cprestigious.\u201d<\/h5>\n

According to the \u201cDelay Show\u201d host, she was labelled as someone who couldn\u2019t speak English in the early years of her television career because at the time English was more prevalent when presenting.<\/p>\n

According to Delay, her colleagues like Jeremy, Doreen Andoh, Wolf, Caroline Sampson, and other young, well-liked English-speaking presenters were mentioned as ruling the scene at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course. I will boldly say I made Twi presenting\u00a0prestigious because remember when I came on television the first time, years ago,\u00a0people tagged me as a villager because I was speaking\u00a0Twi because at that time it was\u00a0Maame Dokono and some other older presenters who spoke\u00a0Twi.\u00a0English was the thing for all the youngsters like\u00a0\u00a0Caroline Sampson,\u00a0Jeremy, Doreen Andoh \u2026 so I was like a weird person. But today, Vodafone, Coca Cola, Ideal Milk obiaa billboard they\u2019ll find Twi and put there\u2026 Twi has become the new flex,\u201d Delay said in an interview on Pure FM.<\/p>\n

Though she stated that nothing she often says when presenting is written, \u201cIt\u2019s just on the spot\u2026 once I psych myself up to do it, I\u2019ll just do it. I can just create something,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Delay claimed that the environment she found herself in as a child had a significant impact on how she spoke; her grandmother is the source of her linguistic skills and eloquence.<\/p>\n

\u201cI realised\u00a0<\/em>I needed to do something different. So, I was intentional about it\u201d, she said in response to the question \u201cWas it deliberate from the beginning?\u201d<\/p>\n
