Matthew Perry was left feeling \u201csoft and sad\u201d by his drunken impotence when he was trying to lose his virginity.<\/p>\n
The actor, 53, admitted he failed to link his boozing with being unable to perform in bed when he tried to have sex with ex-girlfriend Tricia Fisher, the half-sister of Carrie Fisher.<\/p>\n
He said in his autobiography, \u2018Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing\u2019, he had been drinking for a few years when he tried to lose his virginity as a teen in his native Canada.<\/p>\n
Perry said the incident with Fisher, now 53, and whom he started dating aged 18 in the 1980s, happened when he drank six beers for courage.<\/p>\n
He confessed: \u201cBy then I\u2019d been drinking for a few years. I failed to make the correlation between the booze and my private parts not working\u2026 nothing worked; nothing.<\/p>\n
\u201cHorrified yet again, I forsook the loving arms of Tricia Fisher and padded my slim, naked body over to a chair in the apartment. <\/p>\n
\u201cI sat there, soft, and sad, my two hands cupped over my lap like a nun\u2019s during Vespers, doing my best to cover my embarrassment and maybe a tear or two.\u201d<\/p>\n
But he said about Fisher helping him conquer his problem: \u201cShe walked over to me, took my hand, led me back to bed, laid me down, and sure enough\u2026 sheer glory, for two whole minutes!<\/p>\n
\u201cThat night, by the dint of a miraculous universe and the ministrations of a beautiful young woman who deserved better, I finally first misplaced my virginity then lost it altogether, and impotence has not been part of my vocabulary since, just as she promised it wouldn\u2019t be.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverything about me \u2013 at least physically \u2013 works just fine.\u201d<\/p>\n
Perry added he spent years \u201cwalking around the planet thinking sex was something for other people\u201d and hiding his \u201cgreat ugly secret\u201d of impotence.<\/p>\n
In the depths of the \u2018Friends\u2019 actor\u2019s drink and drugs addictions, he was washing down 55 Vicodin a day with a quarter bottle of vodka.<\/p>\n
