Oba Abolarin Adedokun, the Orangun of Oke-lla, in Ifedayo Local Government Area of Osun state, has penned a touching tribute in honor of late Davido\u2019s son, Ifeanyi who drowned in a pool on Monday, October 31st, 2022.<\/p>\n
In his tribute, the royal father, Oba Abolarin recounted how singer Davido\u2019s mum, Veronica rescued his own son from a swimming pool 25 years ago.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo sad, it was Davido\u2019s mummy, late Dr. Mrs. Veronica Adeleke that rescued my own son inside the swimming pool, some twenty-five years ago. I am sad. What Veronica did for my son years back, nobody, I mean nobody to play that same role for Veronica\u2019s grandson, Ifeanyi!\u201d Oba Abolarin revealed.<\/p>\n
He concluded by saying \u201cWho are we to query God, may his soul rest in peace and may Veronica\u2019s soul continue to rest in peace, fantastic woman!\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Nigerian entertainers have sent condolences to Afro-pop star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and partner, Chioma Rowland over the death of their son Ifeanyi.<\/p>\n Kemi Filani reports that Ifeanyi drowned in a pool at Davido\u2019s house in Banana Island, Lagos State.<\/p>\n The youngster was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital after the incident, where he was confirmed dead.<\/p>\n Taking to their social media accounts, some of the celebrities expressed grief and condoled with the Adeleke family.<\/p>\n Singer Paul Play Dairo wrote: \u201cI\u2019m really lost for words. This is really painful. Take heart, David.\u201d<\/p>\n Actor Williams Uchemba wrote on Instagram: \u201cI said I won\u2019t believe anything on social media until I personally confirm myself. I prayed for it to be a lie. I am upset, pained and confused. Nobody deserves to feel this pain. \u201cPlease say a prayer for David, Chioma and the entire family. Nobody deserves this kind of pain. Rest up little one.\u201d<\/p>\n Nigerian actor Muyiwa Ademola wrote: \u201cIt is one of the saddest things when kids are being buried by parents. We really wish it never happened!
