Ghana’s economy has been hit so hard by both internal and external factors. The government has only admitted to the exogenous factors as the factors for Ghana’s dwindling economy. Many economic experts note that government’s own actions have been largely to blamed for the way the economy has turned out.

Many thus expected the President to inspire Ghanaians on Sunday when he spoke but this didn’t materialize according to some Ghanaians. Interestingly, government communicators visited media house yesterday to explain or elaborate some of the issues the President explained. On TV3’s New Day show today, Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Roland Walker the host of the Big Issue segment told her fellow panelist that in these hard times President Akufo-Addo shouldn’t be allowing certain communicators to appear on TV or radio to make comments.

Roland Walker mentioned that only ministers or their deputies should be made to appear on media channels to convey government communications. Roland Walker boldly mentioned that communicators like Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Palgrave Boakye Danquah and Lawuratu Musah Saaka shouldn’t be allowed to be communicating because their comments do not resonate with the plight of Ghanaians and their comments only tend to aggravate the plight of Ghanaians. Walker called on the President and Ministry of Information to scrutinize those they allow to communicate because times are hard and the least thing said can cause havoc.

According to Roland Walker, when ministers and deputy minister are made to speak they will be measured in their commentary because they hold positions and accountable to the people of Ghana for every word that they utter unlike some other communicators who are not MPs or ministers and as such can say whatever they want and go.

Many government communicators have applauded President Akufo-Addo for delivering a bold and hopeful to Ghanaians on Sunday night. As government tries to negotiate a deal with the IMF, many Ghanaians are wondering the future of the country in the next few months. Ato Forson says Ghanaians should expect a haircut, while President Akufo-Addo says there will be no haircuts. How have the NPP or government communicators fared in your perspective?

Content created and supplied by: Still_Unbeatable (via Opera
News )

    , . , .
