Songstress Sheila Acheampong, daughter of Highlife Legend, Nana Acheampong, says she grew up falling in love with songs from his father\u2019s contemporary, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, known popularly as Daddy Lumba.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love my father\u2019s songs but then I\u2019m a committed fan of Daddy Lumba, I really love his songs,\u201d she told Luv FM\u2019s DJ Reuben on Oseikrom\u2019s Top 10 Chart Show.<\/p>\n
Sheila says growing up as a child, the kind of songs she listened to were more of the \u2018Adadamu\u2019 Highlife.<\/p>\n
She listened to legends like Daddy Lumba, Amakye Dede, Kojo Antwi and Nana Acheampong because her mother exposed her to old school music.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy mum really liked Daddy Lumba\u2019s songs a hundred percent. So it robbed off on my sister and me,\u201d she said. \u201cMy mother could choose Daddy Lumba over Nana Acheampong anytime\u201d.<\/p>\n
Sheila did not grow up under the same roof as his father because of his frequent travels outside the country.<\/p>\n
But father and daughter spent some time together anytime they have the opportunity or when she needed something.<\/p>\n
Sheila also said though she did not live in the same house with her sister, Gyakie<\/em>, because they are from different mothers, she used to visit the songbird in her house and they sometimes spend vacation together as a family.<\/p>\n Sheila is out with her latest single, \u2018Like That\u2019 The song, which featured rapper.
