Amakye Dede<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Celebrated Ghanaian highlife music legend, Abrantie Amakye Dede will perform at this year\u2019s edition of the annual musical concert dubbed \u201cAfrica Legends Night\u201d slated for Friday, December 2 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).<\/p>\n This year\u2019s event, which marks the 10th edition, is expected to attract thousands of music lovers from all walks of life.<\/p>\n It will feature celebrated highlife musicians Amakye Dede, Rex Omar, Efya and dancehall act Samini as headliners.<\/p>\n The African Legends Night is a high-profile concert which recognises and celebrates African musicians who are considered living legends.<\/p>\n Over the ten-year period, the event has witnessed over 20 headliners and close to 50 performances by authentic African musicians from a number of African countries such as Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, DR. Congo, Namibia, South Africa among others.<\/p>\n In marking the 10th anniversary, the concert will for the first time be hosted in December, offering a new \u201cDecember In Ghana\u201d event experience for Ghanaians and the diaspora.<\/p>\n New additions to this year\u2019s celebrations are the creation of the the African Legends Hall of Fame and a setting up of the African Legends Digital Museum to document the recognition of African music legends.<\/p>\n \u201cWith our legendary headline line-up for the concert coupled with these new initiatives, what African Legends Night promises this year is something that will certainly push the show to greater heights,\u201d said Ernest Boateng, CEO of Global Media Alliance.<\/p>\n \u201cTen years of building a pan-African concert like African Legends Night goes to the core of our organisation\u2019s brand purpose of \u201cTalk to Us, Talk to Africa\u201d.
