The hard work of Management and Staff of the Multimedia Group has been recognised by the organisers of the 33rd<\/sup> CIMG Annual Marketing Performance Awards in Accra.<\/p>\n

Erastus Asare Donkor of the Kumasi unit of The Multimedia Group was honoured for the documentary that highlighted the devastating effects of the \u2018galamsey\u2019 menace- \u2018Destruction for Gold\u2019 documentary.<\/p>\n

The documentary pricked the conscience of Ghanaian society on the impunity of illegal mining activities and the harm caused to the environment, especially water bodies.<\/p>\n

At the same ceremony, The Multimedia Group was adjudged the \u2018Media Organisation of the Year\u2019, while its online platform, Myjoyonline, was awarded the \u2018Online portal of the Year\u2019.<\/p>\n

Drivetime on Joy FM also won the \u2018Radio Programme of the Year.\u2019<\/p>\n

The awards ceremony was held under the theme, \u201cCreative Marketing and Innovation in a volatile global economy.\u201d<\/p>\n
