She\u2019s talented and charismatic, and in the process does her movie-star parents proud.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong id=\"strong-fec89d60355b9917c4b5a62ffa55e96f\">Watch video:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>!function(e,t,r){let n;if(e.getElementById(r))return;const a=e.getElementsByTagName(\u201cscript\u201d)[0];n=e.createElement(\u201cscript\u201d),n.id=r,n.defer=!0,n.src=\u201dhttps:\/\/playback.oovvuu.media\/player\/v1.js\u201d,a.parentNode.insertBefore(n,a)}(document,0,\u201doovvuu-player-sdk\u201d);<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Curtis, the daughter of Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, is best known for starring in the slasher film franchise \u201cHalloween\u201d, the 1983 movie \u201cTrading Places\u201d, 1988\u2019s \u201cA Fish Called Wanda\u201d, and 1994\u2019s \u201cTrue Lies\u201d, as well as appearing in \u201cKnives Out\u201d alongside Daniel Craig in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The Modern Master Award prize was established in 1995 and renamed the Maltin Modern Master Award in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Clint Eastwood, Denzel Washington, Glenn Close, Brad Pitt, Christopher Plummer, Nicole Kidman, George Clooney, Ben Affleck, and Michael Keaton are among other previous winners of the prize.<\/p>\n<p>Curtis said farewell to her iconic \u201cHalloween\u201d character Laurie Strode after 44 years in the latest movie, \u201cHalloween Ends\u201d, and she admitted the part was her legacy.<\/p>\n<p>She said: \u201cThe universal understanding of Laurie Strode is that as this original \u2018final girl\u2019 she never gave up, always pushing through no matter what.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is beyond comprehension that that is my legacy. I feel like I haven\u2019t given up, that I have continued to try, but not at the level of Laurie Strode.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I\u2019ve gotten from her is way more than she\u2019s gotten from me. Because when I\u2019m gone, her legacy will be mine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow of course, I have my children, and that\u2019s crucial.
