The celebrity executive denied the previously reported number when he addressed employees at Twitter\u2019s San Francisco office on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cChief Twit\u201d as his Twitter profile now describes, posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1585341984679469056?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1585341984679469056%7Ctwgr%5E2590980613e6c9bc62c433a38c66e300bd8586d2%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftechcrunch.com%2F2022%2F10%2F26%2Felon-musk-twitter-hq-deal%2F\">video<\/a> of himself walking into Twitter headquarters before the meeting holding a sink with the caption \u201cLet that sink in!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Musk has casually made mention of laying off staff when he takes over Twitter, a $44 billion deal that\u2019s expected to close on Friday.
