Repercussions are surfacing after Kanye West\u2019s recent hateful remarks as his album sales have plummeted.<\/p>\n

According to the latest data from \u201cLuminate\u201d, albums by Kanye West (who now goes by \u201cYe\u201d) are down 23% (through October 20, as compared to the previous week) and airplay (spins on radio) has dropped off to the tune of 13% in the US, reports \u201cVariety\u201d.<\/p>\n

On some stations, like Los Angeles\u2019 KIIS-FM, the rapper\u2019s rotation in the last week went down to zero. <\/p>\n

In every monitored category, including physical and digital sales, programmed and on-demand streaming, West has seen some losses domestically.<\/p>\n

According to \u201cVariety\u201d, worldwide, West\u2019s sales have declined by 17.5%, per \u201cLuminate\u201d, while streams dipped 2%, through October 20.<\/p>\n

So far in 2022, West\u2019s total on-demand streams in the US hover around 3.8\u00a0billion; in album sales, he\u2019s moved just over 363\u00a0000 year-to-date with older titles like \u201cMy Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy\u201d, \u201cCollege Dropout\u201d and \u201cLate Registration\u201d seeing the most activity.<\/p>\n

\u201cVariety\u201d further states that the rapper\u2019s controversial remarks about Jewish people, which led to his Twitter and Instagram accounts being restricted, have become louder between October 6, when he appeared on \u201cTucker Carlson\u201d, and October 19, when an interview with Piers Morgan was released in its entirety. <\/p>\n

But so have calls to boycott the artist and his businesses.<\/p>\n
