{"id":1234566,"date":"2022-10-25T23:44:03","date_gmt":"2022-10-25T23:44:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/10\/25\/kim-kardashian-condemns-hate-speech-after-kanye-wests-antisemitic-rants\/"},"modified":"2022-10-25T23:44:03","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T23:44:03","slug":"kim-kardashian-condemns-hate-speech-after-kanye-wests-antisemitic-rants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/10\/25\/kim-kardashian-condemns-hate-speech-after-kanye-wests-antisemitic-rants\/","title":{"rendered":"Kim Kardashian condemns hate speech after Kanye West\u2019s Antisemitic rants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n            <!-- image --><\/p>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"992\" height=\"558\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/kim-1-gty-er-221024_1666633496059_hpMain_16x9_992.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"kim-1-gty-er-221024_1666633496059_hpMain_16x9_992\"\/><\/div>\n<p>            <!-- content --><\/p>\n<p>Days after a fellow celebrity called her out for remaining publicly silent in the face of antisemitic comments made by her former husband\u00a0Kanye West, Kim Kardashian has released a statement condemning hate speech.<\/p>\n<p>Kardashian posted her statement on the Instatstories portion\u00a0of her Instagram account\u00a0on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHate speech is never OK or excusable,\u201d her statement read. \u201cI stand together with the Jewish community and call on the terrible violence and hateful rhetoric towards them to come to an immediate end.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The posting came days after singer Boy George\u00a0posted a video on his Instagram account\u00a0questioning why Kardashian had not publicly addressed her ex\u2019s behavior.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m appalled that Kim Kardashian hasn\u2019t come out and added her voice to this debate because this woman has children with Kanye, so she must understand as a mother what it feels like for little Jewish children to hear these f***ing comments, how demoralizing and terrifying it must be,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>West, who legally changes his name to Ye, has been under fire in recent weeks for social media posts criticized as antisemitic and for wearing and producing \u201cWhite Lives Matter\u201d wear at his recent fashion show.<\/p>\n<p>The Anti-Defamation League categorizes that phrase as a \u201chate slogan\u201d used by White supremacist groups, including the Ku Klux Klan.<\/p>\n<p>There was also major backlash to a now-deleted tweet, in which West said he was \u201cgoing death con 3 [sic] On JEWISH PEOPLE,\u201d according to Internet Archive\u2019s Wayback Machine records pulled by CNN.<\/p>\n<p>His tweet has since been removed, and\u00a0Twitter locked his account.
