Tobin Bell is to return as Jigsaw in the next \u201cSaw\u201d film.<\/p>\n
The 80-year-old actor is coming back to the horror franchise as antagonist John Kramer\/Jigsaw in \u201cSaw X\u201d, due to be released in October 2023.<\/p>\n
Bell\u2019s return to the franchise fulfils the aims of Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures to make a movie that captures everything that \u201cSaw\u201d fans have enjoyed about previous films while also keeping them guessing with a new mystery to solve.<\/p>\n
Franchise veteran Kevin Greutert \u2013 who directed \u201cSaw VI\u201d and \u201cSaw: The Final Chapter\u201d \u2013 is behind the camera for the latest movie.<\/p>\n
Jigsaw is the villain at the heart of the \u201cSaw\u201d films. The former civil engineer is dying of colon cancer and subsequently decides to test others\u2019 will to live with a series of deadly games.<\/p>\n
The character appeared in the first three \u201cSaw\u201d movies before being killed off and has featured via flashbacks in most of the movies that have followed.<\/p>\n
Producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules said: \u201cWhat a thrill to be reuniting with Tobin.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis performance as John Kramer is part of the magic that made this franchise a phenomenon and his character is an active part of this film.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bell previously revealed that he approaches every acting role in the same way.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cI approach every role that I play, whether he\u2019s as you call it a villainous character or this one, the same way.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou want to know who am I? Aware of what do I want, when do I want it, how am I going to get it?<\/p>\n
\u201cI ask a lot of questions and I start answering those questions, and then those open up more questions.
