Controversial Broadcaster, Blessed Godsbrain Smart has alleged that Akans in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) led administration have rendered Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia \u201cuseless\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

He explained that some “Akyems mafia” at the presidency have subjected the vice president to humiliation.<\/span><\/p>\n

“None of the Akans at the Jubilee House respect Bawumia; they don’t respect our Vice President.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf I were him, I would have resigned. No Akan at the level of governance respects Bawumia, they have rendered him useless”, he said on his Monday, October 24, 2022 show on Onua TV.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He further alleged that some privileges enjoyed by the Vice President have been scrapped by the “Akyem mafia”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Captain Smart went further to make the following statement on his show.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is the head of the Economic Management Team (EMT), but not part of the IMF negotiations. Have we thought about it? This is what I call ‘Akyem mafialism’. Bawumia, Mahama told you to be careful when dealing with Akyem mafias, if you are a northerner or an Ewe.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Have you ever heard Bawumia talking about E-levy? Bawumia kicked against E-levy and he has never suported E-levy, but the problem is that he can’t come out to speak”, he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Even the money that is allocated to the office of the Vice President has been blocked because he is a northerner and nobody respects him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut you see, there are other roles which are part of the office of the Vice President and it has been taken from him. So Bawumia is suffering but he can’t come out to say it”.<\/span><\/p>\n

“So, now I have removed Dr Bawumai from Ghana’s economic equation but I will only mention his name because his own words are haunting him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSee, Dr Bawumia is suffering in this government more than anybody else, trust me. Tell me when was the last time you heard the voice of Bawumia’s wife, Samira? He asked.<\/span><\/p>\n
