Aspirant for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) General Secretary position, Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor, has endorsed the candidacy of former President Mahama to serve as flabgearer for the NDC come 2024.<\/p>\n
According to him, the former President is the \u201csuper best candidate\u201d suited to lead the party into a flawless victory in 2024.<\/p>\n
Speaking on JoyNews\u2019 PM Express, Dr. Otokunor stated that while other candidates are readying themselves to vie for the position of flagbearer, he believes the current economic situation deserves a Mahama-led administration to usher in Ghana\u2019s recovery.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201c[Mahama] is the super best candidate if you ask me. There cannot be any other alternative choice apart from President Mahama in winning power in 2024. You see circumstances and situations determine the kind of leader that emerges.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe current circumstances in the country require a President Mahama administration. The recovery that we need for the kind of deterioration and the plummeting of our resources requires a President Mahama presidency and so that one there is no two ways about that.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added, \u201cEven though there is going to be a contest, people will contest, in my personal view, I think that President Mahama should be the candidate of choice for the Republic of Ghana.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will go to contest alright and then who emerges we will have to strategise around because the people must speak, but already the people are speaking and that\u2019s what you were trying to say that everybody wants President Mahama.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor those who think that President Mahama may not bring us the power, they\u2019re the NPP because they\u2019re sacred of him.\u201d<\/p>\n
