\nGhana’s U-23 national team, the Black Meteors, have arrived safely in Maputo ahead of tomorrow’s meeting with Mozambique in an African U-23 qualifier.<\/p>\n
The Black Meteors, will face their Mozambican counterparts in a first leg qualifier to the finals in Morocco next year.<\/p>\n
The game be played at the Estadio Nacional do Zimpeto, Gazon in the Mozambican capital on Sunday, with Ghana hopeful of a good result to take into the return encounter in Kumasi next weekend.<\/p>\n
The Black Meteors, arrived in Mozambique early Friday, and took to the training pitch later in the day to continue with their preparations for the encounter.<\/p>\n
The team, will train at the match venue on Saturday afternoon as required by the competition rules to get a feel of the home conditions.<\/p>\n

Coach Ibrahim Tanko, took a 22-man squad for the trip, and, the former Ghana international is expected to name a strong lineup for tomorrow’s game as they target a win.<\/p>\n
The return encounter will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi next week Sunday as Ghana looks to book a place to the next round of the qualifiers.<\/p>\n
The winner of this two-legged affair, will progress to take on the victor of the DR Congo and Algeria tie for a place at the African U-23 championships in Morocco next year.<\/p>\n
