A Polling station organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party in Manhyia North Constituency of the Ashanti Region has pleaded for forgiveness from former President John Dramani Mahama for his decision to work and vote against him in the last two elections.<\/span><\/p>\n In a viral video, the said NPP polling station organizer is seen on his knees and heard begging Mr Mahama for forgiveness.<\/span><\/p>\n The man, who is yet to be identified by name, also criticized President Akufo-Addo for the current hardship in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n The young man further made the following statements in the said viral video.<\/span><\/p>\n “I am the polling station organizer for Manhyia North, I am not an NDC member, I am an NPP member. Honorable Akwasi Konadu, the MP for Manhyia North knows who I am.<\/span><\/p>\n “Honorable Mahama, please forgive me, Mahama forgive me, I did not know that things were going to be like this. If I knew that this was what was going to happen, I would not have voted against you. Mahama please forgive me.<\/span><\/p>\n “As for you Akufo-Addo, I am not going to say anything against you. After all these difficulties, you are also insulting us, telling us that nobody held our hands to vote. 2024 will be here soon and you will see your stance.<\/span><\/p>\n “A dollar is almost GH\u20b515 and you’re telling us it is because of the Russia-Ukraine war. A gallon of petrol is now GH\u20b570. We can no longer buy cement. We have all packed our cars, Mahama, please forgive, please forgive\u201d\u2019, he said.<\/span><\/p>\n The yet to be identified Manhyia North polling station organizer made the above statements in response to President Akufo-Addo\u2019s recent comments in response to demands made by some residents of Kwabre in the Ashanti region.<\/span><\/p>\n Some residents of Kwabre have threatened to vote out the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) if they fail to construct their town roads.<\/span><\/p>\n Reacting to this on Kumasi-based Otec FM, President Akufo-Addo said he is unfazed by such threats, adding that the Kwabre residents can go ahead and vote for the opposition NDC.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/span><\/p>\n
