Kashim Shettima, the vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) did not read the country\u2019s mood before deciding on its presidential candidate.<\/p>\n
By electing Iyorchia Ayu \u2014 who is from the north \u2014 as its national chairman, the PDP was expected to pick a presidential candidate from the south.<\/p>\n
However, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar \u2014 also from the north \u2014 clinched the party\u2019s ticket.<\/p>\n
Speaking on Friday at the unveiling ceremony of the APC presidential manifesto, Shettima stated that the PDP\u2019s \u201cpresidential dream\u201d is a \u201ctelevised national circus\u201d.<\/p>\n

And this has long backfired and turned their presidential dream into a televised national circus.<\/p>\n \u201cA presidential candidate that cannot put his own political house in order cannot aspire to lead the nation.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that the APC has performed well and has the capacity to continue on the path of sustainable development.<\/p>\n \u201cIn just a few years, the APC has become a political paragon, bringing much older political organisations to their knees.
