We had done all the meetings, I started writing it,\u201d the 31-year-old said on \u201cThat Peter Crouch Podcast.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Sheeran isn\u2019t losing all hope just yet.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-4\">When asked if he would still be willing to sing a Bond theme tune in the future, it was a clear-cut yes.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-6\">\u201cYeah, of course,\u201d he added. I\u2019m not gonna pretend it didn\u2019t hurt not doing it, but yeah I would.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_1-0-6\">\u201cI think eventually as an English singer you\u2019ve got to eventually do a Bond song,\u201d the singer said. \u201cIf they came back I\u2019d be like, \u2018Yeah, of course.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/image-65.png\" alt=\"Ed Sheeran was \u2018hurt\u2019 after his James Bond theme song was scrapped for Billie Eilish\ufffc\" class=\"wp-image-10032193747 lazy\"  data- title=\"Ed Sheeran was \u2018hurt\u2019 after his James Bond theme song was scrapped for Billie Eilish\ufffc\"\/><figcaption>Billie Eilish replaced Sheeran as the singer on the main theme song for \u201cNo Time to Die.\u201d<br \/>Getty Images for EON Productions<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Eilish\u2019s official theme song for the blockbuster\u00a0\u201cNo Time to Die\u201d\u00a0made her the youngest artist to ever write a song for the 007 franchise.<\/p>\n<p>The hit track won the 2022 Academy Award for \u201cBest Original Song,\u201d as well as a Grammy Award for \u201cBest Song Written for Visual Media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eilish joins other superstars who\u2019ve penned songs for the Daniel Craig-starring James Bond films, including Chris Cornell (\u201cYou Know My Name\u201d for \u201cCasino Royale\u201d), Adele (\u201cSkyfall\u201d), Jack White and Alicia Keys (\u201cAnother Way to Die\u201d for \u201cQuantum of Solace\u201d), and Sam Smith (\u201cWriting\u2019s on the Wall\u201d for \u201cSpectre\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>Eilish wrote the song with her 22-year-old brother and musical collaborator Finneas O\u2019Connell, with orchestral arrangements by renowned composer and Oscar winner Hans Zimmer and British conductor Matt Dunkley.
