{"id":1228545,"date":"2022-10-19T11:30:24","date_gmt":"2022-10-19T11:30:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/10\/19\/akufo-addo-not-a-listening-president-chief-biney\/"},"modified":"2022-10-19T11:30:24","modified_gmt":"2022-10-19T11:30:24","slug":"akufo-addo-not-a-listening-president-chief-biney","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/10\/19\/akufo-addo-not-a-listening-president-chief-biney\/","title":{"rendered":"Akufo-Addo not a listening president \u2013 Chief Biney"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Chief-Biney-NDC.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div id=\"article-text\">\n<p>The Deputy National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says President Akufo-Addo has turned deaf ears to the plights of Ghanaians.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Hamilton Biney says the President has ignored even his New Patriotic Party (NPP) members over their calls for a ministerial reshuffle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe president, for me, is not a listing president because even if you have your own party people telling you to do what we call reshuffle because they think that some ministers or members of government are not performing, and you come out to say that those people talking are NDC or because they want work to do\u2026 forgetting that when he wanted to be president, he almost went on his knee,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"M14Dwg1dmqs\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Akufo-Addo not a listening president - Cheif Biney\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M14Dwg1dmqs?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Chief Biney argued that critiques help in managing the affairs of the country as they enable the government to be informed of current happenings.<\/p>\n<p>His comments follow Mr Akufo-Addo\u2019s declaration that there is no basis to sack Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on Kumasi-based OTEC FM on Monday, October 17, the president explained that Mr Ofori-Atta has discharged his duties \u201cexcellently\u201d and cannot be relieved of his post.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-myjoyonline-com wp-block-embed-myjoyonline-com\"\/>\n<p>He added that Ken Ofori-Atta cannot be blamed for the current economic woes the country is facing.<\/p>\n<p>But Chief Biney thinks otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe [Ken Ofori-Atta] should be sacked, but the president is saying that we shouldn\u2019t blame him; he won\u2019t sack him.
