Wendy Williams is \u201chome and healing\u201d after nearly two months in rehab.<\/p>\n
The 58-year-old presenter was revealed last month to have entered a treatment facility to \u2018take some time to focus on her health and wellness\u2019 and now her spokesperson has confirmed she\u2019s left the clinic.<\/p>\n
Her representative, Shawn Zanotti, said: \u201cWe are happy to report that Wendy Williams is home and healing after being in a wellness facility since August.<\/p>\n
\u201cWendy is excited about the road ahead and looking forward to releasing her many projects.\u201d<\/p>\n
Williams herself added a message to thank fans for their support.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cThank you to my fans for your love, support and many prayers, I am back and better than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n
In August, Williams\u2019s lawyer argued the bank had \u201cleft (her) to die\u201d after freezing the assets of the star who fronted \u201cThe Wendy Williams Show\u201d for more than a decade until 2021. She had stepped down because of her issues with autoimmune condition Graves disease, which she said had incapacitated her.<\/p>\n
LaShawn Thomas said: \u201cThe real issue is that Wells Fargo, through their adviser, refused to grant Wendy access to her own accounts, this includes the right to check her balance. No bank should have the authority to do that. <\/p>\n
\u201cNo one attempted to gain access to any of Wendy\u2019s accounts. The Wells Fargo adviser and (former manager Bernie Young) were the only people with access\u2026 They left Wendy to die.\u201d<\/p>\n
The lawyer added that Williams, who has 21-year-old son Kevin Jr with her ex-husband Kevin Hunter but recently tied the knot with New York Police Department officer named Henry, has had to use an American Express credit card for \u201call of her living expenses\u201d.<\/p>\n
The lawyer said recent reports that her son had charged an \u201cunauthorised\u201d $100 000 (about R1.8 million) to her card were unfounded.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe co-ordinated all of her appointments, made sure she attended all appointments, cooked and cleaned for his mother. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe absolutely loves his mother without question, and no one should place any blame or allegations of wrongdoing at his feet.\u201d<\/p>\n
Back in May, Williams was assigned a financial guardian in order to gain \u201caccess to her millions\u201d, which she argued was \u201cnot right and not fair\u201d.<\/p>\n
