Aside from team trophies, every club wants to win at the end of every season, there’s a famous award every player also wants to win at the end of every season, and without any doubt,the most hefty individual award in the football world is the Balon Dior.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since this award scheme started 66 years ago, Lionel Messi is the only footballer who has won it seven times, while his rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, has also won it five times.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As of today, October 17th,2022, the 66th edition of the Balon Dior ceremony is set to take place at night in Paris for every football lover to witness the winner of this edition as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since 2017, Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t been to any Balon Dior ceremonies because some believe he doesn’t trust the Balon Dior award scheme, but according to trusted sources such as the Mirror and Le Parisien, Cristiano Ronaldo will be at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Ch\u00e2telet tonight in Paris to witness this year’s Balon Dior since his last appearance in 2017.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Though Cristiano Ronaldo will be making a U-turn to the Balon Dior event after 5 years of absence,it isn’t likely to see the presence of Lionel Messi at this year’s Balon Dior because, unfortunately for Lionel Messi,he had a bad season last season, which couldn’t secure him a spot in the top 30 Balon Dior shortlist for the 2021\/22 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Because of his astonishing displays last season, Karim Benzema is by far the favourite player who’s expected to clinch the Balon Dior before the day ends. We all know Cristiano Ronaldo’s strong relationship with Karim Benzema, which makes a lot of football fans suggest that Cristiano Ronaldo will be making it to the Balon Dior event solemnly to help Benzema celebrate his first ever Balon Dior award.\u00a0<\/p>\n
