{"id":1225860,"date":"2022-10-16T14:51:31","date_gmt":"2022-10-16T14:51:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/10\/16\/eight-new-entrants-join-club-100-top-20\/"},"modified":"2022-10-16T14:51:31","modified_gmt":"2022-10-16T14:51:31","slug":"eight-new-entrants-join-club-100-top-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/10\/16\/eight-new-entrants-join-club-100-top-20\/","title":{"rendered":"Eight new entrants join Club 100 top 20"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>By Issah Mohammed\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Accra, Oct 16, GNA \u2013 The Ghana Club 100 Awards returned after a two-year break with eight newcomers making it to the top 20 of the 100 highly ranked companies in Ghana.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They are Zeepay Ghana Limited, which was ranked 1st, Multipro Private Ltd. in 3rd place, Amanex Co.Ltd. ranked 7th and Express IDS Consult Agency Limited ranked 8th.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Other entrants in top 20 are Nestle Ghana Limited ranked 13th, Sage Distribution Limited ranked 16th, Abosso Goldfields Limited, and Benso Oil Palm Plantation Plc occupying the 19th and 20th position respectively of the award.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In all, there were 43 newcomers on this year\u2019s list of awardees who missed out on the 18th edition of the awards.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Companies whose ranking improved from previous edition included GBC Plc and Maphlix Trust Ghana Limited who both respectively moved from 16th to 10th and 27th to 6th position this year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the Other hand, Scancom Plc moved from the top position in previous edition to occupy the 5th position this year while GOIL Plc moved from 3rd position to 61st position in the 19th edition of the awards.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s awards which was hosted by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) to promote good corporate governance and work ethics was held under the theme, \u201cGhana\u2019s Private Sector, A Catalyst for Post Pandemic Economic Transformation.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mr Yaw Osafo-Marfo, Senior Presidential Advisor, who spoke on behalf of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, as a Special Guest of Honour, commended the private sector for thriving amid economic hardship induced by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is important to recognise the difficulties our economy is facing.
