A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has criticised The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar for saying the North does not need a Yoruba or Igbo president.<\/p>\n
Atiku stated that Northerners needed to vote for him rather than a Yoruba or Igbo candidate because he\u2019s a Pan-Nigerian with a northern extraction.<\/p>\n
Condemning his comment, Fani-Kayode, stated that Atiku would not be allowed to treat Nigerians the same way he did to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.<\/p>\n
In a series of tweets, Fani-Kayode said Atiku\u2019s remark is unacceptable and despicable.<\/p>\n
Fani-Kayode said Northerners in the All Progressives Congress, APC, believe that it\u2019s time for power to shift to the South.<\/p>\n
He wrote: \u201cThe North does not need a Yoruba or Igbo President: she needs a Northern President \u2013 Atiku Abubakar.<\/p>\n
