The celebrated comic actor shared the news in an emotional tribute post to Instagram on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRIP to one of the realest &#038; rawest to ever do it\u2026Love you dad,\u201d Hart captioned a slideshow of photos showing himself with his dad and his family from different happy moments over the years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGone but never forgotten\u2026.Give mom a hug for me,\u201d Hart continued. \u201cY\u2019all did good man. Thank you for everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 43-year-old movie star and father of four went on to share, \u201cI\u2019m a better father because of you \ud83d\ude22\ud83d\udcaa\ud83c\udffe\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffe We will all make you proud\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned=\"\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CjomRvypqCE\/?utm_source=ig_embed&#038;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<p>Back in 2017,\u00a0Hart opened up during an\u00a0appearance on\u00a0<em>The Late Show With Stephen Colbert<\/em>\u00a0and got candid about how he repaired his once-troubled relationship with his father, and how he learned to be a better dad through his own dad\u2019s mistakes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy kids actually think I\u2019m the coolest dad on the planet\u00a0\u2026 I know why I am the way that I am, my dad has a lot to do with that \u2014 the mistakes that my dad made, you know, the decisions to do drugs, being in and out of jail, in and out of our lives. I saw firsthand what not being present did and because of that, I now know what being present means,\u201d Hart explained.\u00a0\u201cI know what that can do, I know what effect it can have on your child coming up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow, I was strong enough to deal with it coming up because I have a different attitude, I\u2019m a positive guy,\u201d he said of his difficult childhood. \u201cI choose to go positive instead of negative a lot and because of that, my relationship with my dad is amazing now!
