Oprah Winfrey had \u201cdouble knee surgery\u201d last year.<\/p>\n
The 68-year-old TV star has revealed that she had two operations last year \u2013 but she\u2019s now determined to be as active as possible.<\/p>\n
She told Oprah Daily: \u201cI had double knee surgery last year. I had knee surgery in August, and then I had another knee surgery in November.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I came home the first time, I literally could not lift my leg. I couldn\u2019t lift my heel off of the bed, and I vowed if I was ever able to get up, walk around, and move again \u2013 that I would take advantage of movement, exercise, and of being able to be fully in my body.\u201d<\/p>\n

Winfrey also revealed that she developed a passion for hiking during her recovery for surgery.<\/p>\n
And the TV icon \u2013 who has her own production company \u2013 now looks at her body in a different light.<\/p>\n
Best known for hosting her iconic TV talk-show, \u201cThe Oprah Winfrey Show\u201d, she said: \u201cAs I was rehabilitating, I started hiking. Every day, I tried to hike more and do more.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy appreciation for every organ and every limb has expanded exponentially.\u201d<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, fellow TV star Ricki Lake has revealed that she\u2019d love to have Winfrey on her new podcast series.<\/p>\n
The 54-year-old actress has launched a new series called \u201cRaised by Ricki\u201d and she admitted that Winfrey would be one of her dream guests for the show.<\/p>\n
Lake \u2013 who hosted her own talk show between 1993 and 2004 \u2013 said: \u201cI\u2019m not holding my breath. But she would be great.<\/p>\n
\u201cI mean, why not? I think we\u2019re going to ask.\u201d<\/p>\n
