Back in August, news broke that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson had split up after nine months of dating.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n The pair reportedly found it too \u201cdifficult\u201d to maintain a relationship due to their \u201cdemanding schedules\u201d and \u201clong distance dynamic.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n Though neither party has publicly discussed the breakup as of yet, a friend of Pete\u2019s, Johnny Potenza, has since claimed that it was the Saturday Night Live<\/i> comedian who initiated the split, alleging that Kim\u2019s complicated relationship with her ex-husband, Kanye West, proved to be too much \u201cbaggage.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n Kanye, aka Ye, spent months slamming both Kim and Pete on Instagram earlier this year, though ended up largely directing his attacks toward the comic.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n Ye memorably encouraged his followers to \u201cscream\u201d at Pete if they saw him out in public, leading Kim to beg him to stop compromising the comic\u2019s safety. He also released several pointed lyrics threatening Pete, before depicting a cartoon-like version of his kidnapping and decapitation in a music video.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n Given that Pete was embroiled in such a messy feud with Ye, and that he and Kim parted ways months later, viewers of Hulu\u2019s The Kardashians<\/i> have long questioned whether or not he\u2019d be appearing this season, all of which was filmed while he and Kim were dating.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n Well, in this week\u2019s episode, which aired last night, fans were finally treated to their first glimpse of Pete Davidson this season \u2014 albeit over the phone.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n Things begin with Kim, her sister Khlo\u00e9, mom Kris, and grandma MJ gathering around to have a long overdue \u201cgossip.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n And within seconds, Kim oh-so-candidly reveals that she and Pete had sex in front of a fireplace in \u201chonor\u201d of her grandmother. Completely normal, I know!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \u201cYou know what\u2019s so crazy?\u201d Kim tells her family. \u201cPete and I were staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel last weekend, and we were sitting in front of the fireplace, just talking for hours.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \u201cI was like, \u2018My grandma told me that you really live life when you have sex in front of the fireplace,\u2019\u201d Kim recalls. \u201cAnd so, we had sex in front of the fireplace, in honor of you,\u201d she says, before adding: \u201cI know that\u2019s really creepy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n Kim continues, \u201cSpeaking of Pete, I have to tell you guys something.\u201d Immediately, her family members assume that the two are engaged, with Khlo\u00e9 even warning Kim that she only \u201cjust got divorced.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n But alas, as Kim reveals, she and Pete ~were not~ engaged, and her big announcement was simply that he was going to space.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \u201cI\u2019m really excited that he\u2019s going to space,\u201d Kim says. \u201cHe\u2019s really gonna go, Jeff Bezos is sending him to space.\u201d Pete was set to join six astronauts embarking on the Blue Origin mission at the time.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n And then, Pete enters the conversation himself to weigh in on the whole thing.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \u201cSpace boy,\u201d Kim says as she answers his phone call, before putting him on speaker for the whole group.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \u201cI\u2019m with my mom and my grandma and Khlo\u00e9. My grandma says she misses you,\u201d Kim tells Pete, who responds: \u201cI miss you too.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \u201cSo you\u2019re going to space?\u201d Kris asks. \u201cI\u2019m going to space,\u201d Pete confirms, before joking about how \u201cconcerning\u201d it is that Jeff isn\u2019t going with him.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n Then, when asked if he\u2019s \u201cnervous\u201d about the trip, Pete quips: \u201cNah, my personal life is scarier to be completely honest.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \u201cI can\u2019t wait to get the fuck away from everybody,\u201d he continues, before jokingly telling Kim: \u201cI think I\u2019m gonna stay up there, babe.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n Though Pete doesn\u2019t name any names, he is seemingly referring to the scathing attacks that Ye was firing toward him at the time all over Instagram.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n Interestingly, at the time that this episode looked to have been filmed, Pete had created and swiftly deleted an account on Instagram himself, with his first post being flooded with harsh comments from Ye\u2019s fans.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n Several users wrote \u201cSkete,\u201d the nickname that Ye coined for Pete, under a photo shared by the comedian, before telling him that he needed to \u201cfind God.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/h2>\n You can watch the latest episode of The Kardashians<\/i> on Hulu now, or Disney+ internationally.
