{"id":1222404,"date":"2022-10-12T12:25:07","date_gmt":"2022-10-12T12:25:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/10\/12\/khloe-kardashian-has-rare-tumour-removed-from-face\/"},"modified":"2022-10-12T12:25:07","modified_gmt":"2022-10-12T12:25:07","slug":"khloe-kardashian-has-rare-tumour-removed-from-face","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/10\/12\/khloe-kardashian-has-rare-tumour-removed-from-face\/","title":{"rendered":"Khloe Kardashian has &#8216;rare&#8217; tumour removed from face"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"article-text\">\n<p>Khloe Kardashian has revealed she\u2019s had an \u201cincredibly rare\u201d tumour removed from her face.<\/p>\n<p>The 38-year-old explained on her Instagram Story that a \u201csmall bump\u201d was treated, once she noticed it \u201cwas not budging\u201d after seven months.<\/p>\n<p>Khloe was told by doctors she would \u201cneed to have an immediate operation\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>She said she shared her experience after seeing \u201cnumerous stories\u201d about the \u201cever-evolving bandage on my face\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The reality TV star added she hoped it would encourage others to visit the doctor if they noticed changes in their skin.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/_126966728_khloescreenshot.jpg\" alt=\"Screenshot of Khloe Kardashian's Instagram Story\" title=\"Khloe Kardashian has 'rare' tumour removed from face\"\/><figcaption>Khloe said she was \u201cgrateful\u201d it was caught early<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>She is now in the \u201chealing process\u201d and joked that fans could \u201cenjoy how fabulous I\u2019m making these face bandages look\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Khloe previously had an operation to remove melanoma \u2013 a type of skin cancer \u2013 when she was 19.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had melanoma on my back, and I had a surgery to remove that as well so I am pre-composed to melanomas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She urged people to be cautious and \u201cchecking all the time\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am someone who wears sunscreen every single day, religiously so no one is exempt from these things. Left untreated, it can spread to other organs in the body<\/li>\n<li>About 16,700 people a year are diagnosed with it<\/li>\n<li>Caused by abnormal skin cells that grow out of control due to DNA damage. Intense exposure to UV can trigger this damage<\/li>\n<li>Dr Bav Shergill, of the British Association of Dermatologists,\u00a0said:\u00a0\u201cWhile melanoma is much more common in older people, it does occur in young people. In fact, skin cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer for teenagers and young adults to be diagnosed with\u201d<\/li>\n<li>If you are concerned by a mole or changes to your skin, you should contact your doctor immediately.
