L to R: Shatta Wale, Black Sherif, Bulldog<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Shatta Wale and his ex-manager, Bulldog, have been throwing verbal punches at each other over claims that his upcoming album may not do well as that of\u00a0Black Sherif.<\/p>\n According to Bulldog, born Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, Sarkodie\u2019s\u00a0\u2018Jamz\u2019 album which is set to be released in November and Shatta Wale\u2019s\u00a0\u00a0\u2018Gift of God\u2019\u00a0album cannot\u00a0attract huge\u00a0numbers\u00a0in terms of streams\u00a0like\u00a0\u00a0Black Sherif\u2019s\u00a0\u2018The Villain I Never Was\u2019\u00a0album.<\/p>\n Speaking on Hitz FM<\/em><\/strong>, he explained that because Shatta and Sarkodie are not signed to an international record label like\u00a0Black Sherif, their streams may therefore not be as huge as that of the \u2018Kweku The Traveller\u2019 crooner.<\/p>\n The statement, however, did not sit well with Shatta Wale, who responded in an unsavoury tone.<\/p>\n \u201cEeerrrhhh if Blacko\u2019s album will do better than us kwraaa, we like, and we hear \u2026at the end of the day Ghana wins \u2026 F**lish people \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n He\u00a0went on to further attack\u00a0Bulldog saying, \u201call be money matter \u2013 you too find something to do and stop that nonsense\u2026 MAKE MONEY in your own way [SIC].\u201d<\/p>\n Last Thursday, when Shatta Wale appeared on\u00a0the\u00a0\u2018Good Evening Ghana\u2019<\/em>\u00a0show\u00a0with Paul Adom Otchere, Shatta\u00a0was asked\u00a0why\u00a0he was not signed to a\u00a0label.<\/p>\n He responded in a\u00a0stuttering manner\u00a0saying,\u00a0\u201cThat\u2019s why I am saying\u2026\u201d Paul Adom Otchere interrupted him with another question, \u201cIs it that no label wants you?\u201d<\/p>\n He continued,\u00a0\u201cNo that\u2019s why I am saying\u2026 No, no, not that no label that even\u2026 not that no label doesn\u2019t even want to meet Shatta Wale or something.\u201d<\/p>\n Paul repeated his question\u00a0in a bid to push for clarity in his response. Shatta Wale\u2019s replied indicating,\u00a0\u201cWhat I am saying is, it\u2019s not me. Many artistes in Ghana don\u2019t have labels.\u201d<\/p>\n Bulldog, while reviewing Shatta\u2019s statement on Hitz FM<\/em><\/strong>, poked fun at his former artiste.<\/p>\n According to him, after several\u00a0years of working with\u00a0the\u00a0dancehall musician,\u00a0he never knew he\u00a0had a speech impediment until he was asked\u00a0the\u00a0crucial question.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u00a0didn\u2019t know Shatta Wale stammered until he was asked by Paul Adom Otchere why he wasn\u2019t on a label.<\/p>\n \u201cBra Charles, I know you are listening to us. You no dey stammer,\u201d Bulldog said in Pidgin English.<\/p>\n \u201cHe [Shatta Wale] went on Paul Adom Otchere\u2019s show to reiterate what I had said, after saying what I said was nonsense.\u00a0If what I said was nonsense, then what was he doing on Paul\u2019s show, saying the same thing,\u201d\u00a0Bulldog\u00a0questioned Shatta.<\/p>\n When\u00a0the host,\u00a0Andy Dosty\u00a0asked him\u00a0whether\u00a0he\u00a0thinks that statement was a hateful comment, he\u00a0replied: \u201cThe only person who thought it was a hateful comment was Shatta Wale himself.\u201d<\/p>\n The conversation stemmed from Black Sherif being signed onto an American record label,\u00a0Empire<\/em>\u00a0\u2014and how the deal contributes to augmenting the artiste\u2019s craft and brand to the rest of the world.<\/p>\n Bulldog\u00a0believes that Black Sherif\u2019s deal will propel his recently-released album,\u00a0\u2018The Villain I Never Was\u2019\u00a0to perform better than Sarkodie\u2019s\u00a0\u2018Jamz\u2019\u00a0and Shatta Wale\u2019s\u00a0\u2018Gift of God\u2019\u00a0albums.<\/p>\n Bulldog\u00a0added that Ghanaian musicians, like Black Sherif, will triumph when they are signed onto international record labels.<\/p>\n \n\t<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" L to R: Shatta Wale, Black Sherif, Bulldog \u00a0 Shatta Wale and his ex-manager, Bulldog, have been throwing verbal punches at each other over claims that his upcoming album may not do well as that of\u00a0Black Sherif.
