After many years of working with multi-award-winning reggae\/dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, Bullgod says he didn\u2019t know the artiste had a speech impediment until he was asked a crucial question.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the Good Evening Ghana show on Thursday, the On God singer was asked: \u201cBut why are you not on a label?\u201d<\/p>\n

In response, Shatta Wale said in a stuttering manner: \u201cThat\u2019s why I am saying\u2026\u201d Paul Adom Otchere interrupted him with another question, \u201cIs it that no label wants you?\u201d<\/p>\n

Shatta replied: \u201cNo that\u2019s why I am saying\u2026 No, no, not that no label that even\u2026 not that no label doesn\u2019t even want to meet Shatta Wale or something.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his quest to find clarity in Shatta Wale\u2019s response, Paul Adom Otchere repeated his question. Shatta Wale\u2019s response was clearer this time: \u201cWhat I am saying is, it\u2019s not me. Many artistes in Ghana don\u2019t have labels.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reacting to the distortion in Shatta Wale\u2019s initial response, Bullgod said on Daybreak Hitz: \u201cI didn\u2019t know Shatta Wale stammered until he was asked by Paul Adom Otchere why he wasn\u2019t on a label.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBra Charles, I know you are listening to us. You no dey stammer,\u201d Bullgod said in Pidgin English.<\/p>\n

The controversial pundit added, \u201cHe [Shatta Wale] went on Paul Adom Otchere\u2019s show to reiterate what I had said, after saying what I said was nonsense.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf what I said was nonsense, then what was he doing on Paul\u2019s show, saying the same thing?\u201d Bullgod quizzed Shatta Wale.<\/p>\n

When asked by Andy Dosty whether Bullgod thinks that statement was a hateful comment, he said: \u201cThe only person who thought it was a hateful comment was Shatta Wale himself.\u201d<\/p>\n

The conversation stemmed from Black Sherif being signed onto an American record label, EMPIRE \u2014and how the deal contributes to augmenting the artiste\u2019s craft and brand to the rest of the world.<\/p>\n

Bullgod believes that Black Sherif\u2019s deal will propel his recently-released album, The Villain I Never Was to perform better than Sarkodie\u2019s JAMZ and Shatta Wale\u2019s Gift of God albums because the two are not signed onto labels.<\/p>\n

Bullgod added that Ghanaian musicians, like Black Sherif, will triumph when they are signed onto international record labels.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
