The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has fined nine (9) oil marketing companies (OMCs) \u20b52,215,000 cedis for engaging in illicit Third-Party trading of petroleum products, and unlawful lifting of petroleum products.<\/p>\n

The companies are Bello Petroleum, Jas Petroleum, Oval Energy, Kros Energy, Safety Petroleum, Santol Energy. The rest are Riseglobe Energy, Sayon Energy and Cigo Energy.<\/p>\n

A release issued by the NPA directed that \u201cCigo Energy pay a fine of \u20b5725,000.00 comprising \u20b530,000.00 for engaging in third party supplies for the second time and \u20b5695,000.00 by for the unlawful lifting of petroleum products.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sayon Energy was fined \u20b5425,000.00 comprising \u20b510,000.00 for engaging in third party supplies for the first time and \u20b5415,000.00 for the unlawful lifting of petroleum products.<\/p>\n

Bello Petroleum was slapped with a fine of \u20b5120, 000.00 comprising \u20b5 10,000 for engaging in third party supplies for the first time and \u20b5110,000.00 for the unlawful lifting of petroleum products.<\/p>\n

Jas Petroleum is to pay a fine of \u20b565,000.00 comprising \u20b510,000.00 for engaging in third party supplies for the first time and \u20b555,000.00 for the unlawful lifting of petroleum products.<\/p>\n

Oval Energy will also pay a fine of \u20b5245,000.00 comprising \u20b510,000.00 for engaging in third party supplies for the first time and GHS235,000.00 for the unlawful lifting of petroleum products.<\/p>\n

Kros Energy was sanctioned to pay a fine of \u20b5295,000.00 comprising \u20b510,000.00 for engaging in third party supplies for the first time and GHS285,000.00 for the unlawful lifting of petroleum products.<\/p>\n

Safety Petroleum will pay a fine of \u20b5200,000.00 comprising \u20b510,000.00 for engaging in third party supplies for the first time and \u20b5190,000.00 for the unlawful lifting of petroleum products.<\/p>\n
