The creative arts sector needs more lawyers and diligent professionals so says rapper M.anifest, born Kwame Ametepee Tsikata.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The rapper also decried frivolity in the entertainment space of Ghana.<\/p>\n

He made the observation via Facebook, where he has close to a million followers, on Sunday, 9 October 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been seeing a lot of legal issues in the African music\/arts ecosystem popping up lately,\u201d the multiple award-winning artiste said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe could do with more entertainment lawyers and other diligent music professionals,\u201d the social commentator and rapper noted adding an admonishment: \u201cNot everyday rapping, singing and dancing.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the \u2018Tomorrow\u2019 hitmaker did not state what prompted this Facebook post, it comes after news of Coachella suing Ghana\u2019s Afrochella for alleged trademark infringement and \u201cintentionally trading on the goodwill of well-known Coachella festivals.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also, musician Kirani Ayat has accused Ghana\u2019s presidency and the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) of using shots from his \u2018Guda\u2019 music video for a tourism promo advert, without his permission.<\/p>\n

Nicknamed M.dot, M.anifest\u2019s father is a law and academic luminary called Tsatsu Tsikata.<\/p>\n
