You can manage part. That\u2019s the work itself, but not the brand of the artiste\u2026If I say I cannot be managed, it\u2019s because mentally I\u2019ve already psyched myself not letting anything distract me,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p><div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"T1pL7Tv7OGA\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Artistes can never be managed - Guru tells industry players\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/T1pL7Tv7OGA?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Guru believes it is impossible for an artiste to be successful if his or her vision does not correspond with the people surrounding their music career.<\/p>\n<p>He indicated that most artistes are facing difficulties with their managers due to misunderstandings.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cMost of the artistes facing those challenges with their managers is because of\u00a0lack of understanding\u00a0and self-interest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cAlkayida (Boys Abre)\u201d hitmaker disclosed that he does not trust the people he is currently working with.<\/p>\n<p>Also, Guru stated that the majority of Ghanaian music industry players are led by emotions in the performance of their duties.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, most upcoming musicians are struggling to develop their music careers due to the emotional nature of the industry players.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSometimes we intend to \u2018switch\u2019 you for no reason, depending on emotions, and we act too much based on emotions. So if you\u2019re not mentally strong, they\u2019ll cut you off,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>The rapper has released a new single titled \u201cEnko Yie.\u201d According to him, the song is an inspiration for the pressures of life he is dealing with.<\/p>\n<p>However, in a related development, entertainment journalist and talent manager, Edem Tsortome, is of the view that artistes create problems for managers, making it difficult for them to be managed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt times, the artistes become a very huge problem for the Management. You want to go this way and within a short space of time you\u2019ve planned something and the artiste had a \u2018switch\u2019 of mind and everything is distracted,\u201d the talent manager explained. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, he stated that, \u201cthey make things difficult to be managed. So when it happens this way and you don\u2019t have a big heart, you\u2019ll have to leave the artistes and they\u2019ll push on their own. \u201c<\/p>\n<p>However, Edem Tsortome applauded award schemes for recognizing the efforts of musicians.
