Today, Saturday 8th October 2022, Lawyer Martin Kpebu met with Honorable George Mireku Duker, the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources on Joy Newsfile. The discussion was centred around the menace of galamsey in the country.<\/p>\n
When asked by the host Samson Lardy, if Akufo-Addo has not done his best by putting his presidency on the line to fight Galamsey, Martin Kpebu<\/span> replied the President said it for media sake.<\/p>\n Martin commented that Akufo Addo must sack all those disappointing him on the galamsey fight.\u00a0It was then that Deputy Minster, Mireku Duker disagreed. The Deputy Minister schooled Martin Kpebu that Akufo-Addo can only sack the Minister’s based on with the laws of Ghana. Martin Kpebu: Esquire said asked that the President who’s a Lawyer doesn’t know the law and also promised to use the Anas principle? The President’s conduct and failure to deal with offenders is so annoying.\u00a0<\/p>\n Mireku Duker then said, “You (Martin) can be annoyed, I don’t care.” He added that some people are into galamsey without any documentation and when that happens checking their activities becomes difficult.
