Reality entertainment is never far from the hearts of people. This year, fans of Africa\u2019s biggest reality show took to Twitter to engage in conversations like never before.<\/p>\n

Support from the fans who campaigned for their favourite housemates in the 7th season of Big Brother Naija lit up Twitter timelines through tons of Tweets, GIFs, emojis and screengrabs.<\/p>\n

#BBNaija<\/a> Season 7 \u201cLevel Up\u201d, which recorded over 19 million Tweets, had major twists and turns in September ahead of the grand finale this past Sunday.<\/p>\n

In case you missed it, here is a recap of all the happenings that led up to the crowning of the winner.<\/p>\n

Unexpected love story between Chizzy x Doyin<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nobody saw the unexpected friendship and love between Chizzy<\/a> a.k.a<\/em>. \u2018Odogwu\u2019 and\u00a0 Doyin<\/a> a.k.a<\/em> \u2018therapist\u2019 coming. Despite combining Level 1 and 2, Chizzy and Doyin were like the opposing goalkeepers until early September, when the bond between them started to grow strong.<\/p>\n

BBN Fans on #TwitterGhana commented on their relationship. Juelz_glow<\/a> wrote, \u201cHe really likes her<\/a>.\u201d Ghana Trending Links in this Tweet<\/a> said that Chizzy wouldn\u2019t allow any interference in the relationship, while digital creator & brand influencer, Tatas Caritas<\/a> also reacted<\/a> with this Tweet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Level Two Housemates \u2013 From \u2018the trenches\u2019 to winners<\/strong><\/p>\n

Though#Level2<\/a> trended in the month of September, who would have guessed that the winner of BBN season 7 would come from the secondary house, popularly known as \u201cthe trenches\u201d, especially when the housemates kept losing the Head of House (HoH) games.<\/p>\n

But to the delight of many, the two finalists, Phyna<\/a> and Bryann<\/a>, emerged from said \u2018trenches\u2019.\u00a0 Self-proclaimed reality TV lover and BBN fan, Kuukua Fouillard<\/a> celebrated the finalists in a Tweet<\/a> while iam_airsenam<\/a> also took the opportunity to admonish fans in another Tweet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Biggie Introduces Level 3 Mansion for Elowswag, Doyin & Chomzy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Big Brother Nigeria housemates Chomzy<\/a>, Eloswag<\/a>, Doyin<\/a> were officially evicted from the reality TV show.<\/p>\n

However, there was an interesting twist when Biggie allowed them to stay as house guests for one more week.<\/p>\n

Phiney Sleek\u2019s prediction<\/a> was right, Biggie took the three evicted housemates to level one before their eviction on the Sunday show.<\/p>\n

Ebuka Visits The Housemates In The Big Brother\u2019s House<\/strong><\/p>\n

Before wrapping up the show, Big Brother gave the finalists an opportunity to spend quality time with the host, Ebuka. Sita_iam_hag<\/a> commented, \u201chappiness everywhere<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Big Six Finalists<\/strong><\/p>\n

After spending 71 days in the Big Brother House, Phyna<\/a>, Bryann<\/a>, Adekunle<\/a>, Bella<\/a>, Chichi<\/a> and Daniella were the lucky housemates to reach the last stage of the reality show. This came after they impressed fans every other week with their vibes, moves and authentic conversations in Big Brother\u2019s House.<\/p>\n

Phyna emerges winner of Big Brother Naija Level Up season<\/strong><\/p>\n

As expected #PhynaTheWinner<\/a> had to trend after emerging as the winner of the most talked about BBN season. She took home N100 million worth of prizes in this \u2018Level Up\u2019 edition. @martha_of_ghana Tweeted about her win.\u00a0 Another BBN Fan on Twitter Ghana also reacted to her win.<\/p>\n

While the show is over,\u00a0 it seems fans are already yearning for more. One of Ghana\u2019s BBN Fans wrote<\/a>, \u201cI\u2019m gonna miss this show #BBNaija<\/a>. This season is the best so far. All the best to the finalists.\u201d<\/p>\n

BBNaija was big on Twitter<\/strong><\/p>\n

Entertainment continues to be a major driver on Twitter across the globe and BBnaija was no different.<\/p>\n

The reality show was a global hit, and according to statistics released from Twitter, over 19 million Tweets and conversations about the reality show were recorded during the period of the show, with 514,942 unique authors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Of the show\u2019s fans that were engaged and talking, 75% were male while 25% were female.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From #bbnaija<\/a>, to #bbnaijas7<\/a>, to #Beautytukura<\/a>, to #bbnaijalevelup<\/a> and\u00a0 #bellaOkagbue<\/a>, Twitter was certainly abuzz with stimulating conversation and engagement as these hashtags came out strongly among the popular ones.<\/p>\n

It also revealed that Donjazzy<\/a>, ebuka<\/a>, unusualphyna<\/a>, Bryann<\/a> and DStvNg<\/a> were among the top ten handles.<\/p>\n

The talented Animator Jude_OC<\/a> took the first spot for the most Retweeted Tweet.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Twitter\u2019s data again shows that the most popular emoji used by Twitter users to express their feelings was the humour emoji \ud83d\ude02 with 468,306 Tweets, followed by the fire \ud83d\udd25 with 164,028 & third place was ROTFL \ud83e\udd23 with 147,856 Tweets.<\/p>\n
