{"id":1218118,"date":"2022-10-07T09:30:37","date_gmt":"2022-10-07T09:30:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/10\/07\/we-will-work-against-obi-in-2023-apga\/"},"modified":"2022-10-07T09:30:37","modified_gmt":"2022-10-07T09:30:37","slug":"we-will-work-against-obi-in-2023-apga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/10\/07\/we-will-work-against-obi-in-2023-apga\/","title":{"rendered":"We Will Work Against Obi In 2023 \u2013APGA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<figure id=\"attachment_841770\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-841770\" style=\"width: 1536px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-841770\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Peter Obi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has said that it will not support Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, in the general elections in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Following a private meeting between the APGA and the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, there were rumours that Soludo had instructed the party faithful to fight against Peter Obi because the governor was dreaming of succeeding Atiku Abubakar as president.<\/p>\n<p>But Soludo promptly refuted the widely circulated accusation, insisting that only matters pertaining to APGA were covered during the normal gathering and that Obi was never a topic of conversation.<\/p>\n<p>However, while addressing journalists in Awka on Thursday, the National Coordinator, APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, insisted that the party will work against Obi in favour of APGA candidates.<\/p>\n<p>Obigwe added that it is in the best interest of APGA faithful to work against Obi in favour of APGA candidates.<\/p>\n<p>He maintained that APGA has remained committed to working in favour of all its candidates in the elections.<\/p>\n<p>He said anybody expecting APGA to work in favour of the former Anambra State governor in this 2023 election is dwelling in \u201cself-deceit and living in fool\u2019s paradise\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out that working against Obi is the right thing to do in the best interest of APGA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also Read:\u00a0Peter Obi Charges FG To Address Flood Problem, Seeks Support For Victims<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cI hate being sentimental on important issues and like saying the raw truth without minding whose ox is gored.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur self-acclaimed Saint Peter Obi as the Labour Party presidential candidate has nothing in common with APGA as a party and APGA faithful, because he is now a political enemy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLabour Party members will work against APGA candidates in the forthcoming general election and it is also expected of APGA faithful to work against Peter Obi and other Labour Party candidates in the election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnybody expecting APGA faithful to work in favour of Peter Obi in this 2023 election is dwelling in self-deceit and living in fool\u2019s paradise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuch thing will not work because no sane person will take the fish in his or her boat to the boat of a political enemy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know how to paint words or to be economical with the truth hence my reason for maintaining my stand that Peter Obi\u2019s ill-conceived presidential ambition is dead on arrival.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernor Chukwuma Soludo does not need to tell APGA faithful to work against Peter Obi because they already know that it is the right thing for them to do in the interest of our party, APGA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe evil plot of Obi for APGA candidates to suffer bandwagon effect in this 2023 general election will fail.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will die a natural death because APGA faithful are committed to working in favour of all APGA candidates in this 2023 general election,\u201d Obigwe added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Peter Obi The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has said that it will not support Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, in the general elections in 2023.
