Abigail Ashley<\/strong><\/p>\n Female radio and television personality and presenter on United Television (UTV), Abigail Ashley, has been honoured with Humanitarian\u00a0Award at this year\u2019s edition of the annual 3G Awards.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s event, which was the 11th edition of awards scheme, was held last Saturday in New York, United States of America (USA).<\/p>\n Abigail Ashley, who is the host of My Health, My Life,<\/em> and Mo Ho Y3 <\/em>on UTV<\/em> and Okay FM<\/em> respectively, was among a number of personalities who were honoured at the event which was graced by a number of personalities including music and movie industry stakeholders as well as music fans.<\/p>\n Abigail is also a health advocate and the project leader and founder of Behind My Smiles Foundation, a non-governmental organisation that focuses on kidney health education.<\/p>\n The citation in her honour read, \u201cWe recognise the many years of outstanding contribution as a to the media industry.\u201d<\/p>\n It further added that, \u201cAs part of the major force to be reckoned with at Despite Media (Peace FM, UTV), we also appreciate Abigail Ashley\u2019s humanitarian effort. And it is inspiring how she\u2019s used her major health challenges to educate people about good health and transforming lives.\u201d<\/p>\n Abigail Ashley expressed her appreciation to the organisers for the award.<\/p>\n She thanked Dr. Osei Kwame (Despite), Dr. Ofori Sarpong, Dr. Fadda Dickson, all of the Despite and Special Group of Companies, for supporting her in her activities.<\/p>\n She said, \u201cI feel so honoured.
