{"id":1216193,"date":"2022-10-04T14:38:33","date_gmt":"2022-10-04T14:38:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/10\/04\/sekyere-kumawu-residents-petition-district-assembly-over-their-bad-road\/"},"modified":"2022-10-04T14:38:33","modified_gmt":"2022-10-04T14:38:33","slug":"sekyere-kumawu-residents-petition-district-assembly-over-their-bad-road","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/10\/04\/sekyere-kumawu-residents-petition-district-assembly-over-their-bad-road\/","title":{"rendered":"Sekyere Kumawu residents petition District Assembly over their bad road"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Some aggrieved residents of Sekyere Kumawu District in the Ashanti Region on Tuesday besieged the premises of the District Assembly to protest bad roads.<\/p>\n<p>The residents say a rise in robbery incidents in the area can be attributed to the nature of the main Juaben to Kumawu road.<\/p>\n<p>The residents had red bands tied to their hands and heads and said they were also worried about the transportation of produce from farming communities to urban centres after harvest.<\/p>\n<p>One resident, Stephen Acheampong, read out the petition on behalf of the group and presented it to the District Chief Executive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis passionate petition has become necessary. Our road from Kumawu through Effiduase to Juaben is in a highly deplorable state. The contractor who started work in some parts has abandoned the site.
