Epixode<\/strong><\/p>\n Following his success with \u2018Atia\u2019, Vodafone Ghana Awards (VGMA) reggae dancehall award-winner Theophilus Nii Arday Otoo, better known as Epixode, declared he would never give up his genre to focus only on highlife.<\/p>\n The recently-released \u2018Atia\u2019 song and the equally sparkling versions he has so far put out of the original piece have further bolstered Epixode\u2019s reputation on the music scene.<\/p>\n According to him, his highlife song \u2018Atia\u2019 featuring Kwabena Kwabena becoming a hit doesn\u2019t mean he should change genres.<\/p>\n \u201cSome people have said that I have to stop doing dancehall for a while and pay attention to highlife, but I will take it from two sides,\u201d Epixode disclosed to Kastle FM<\/em><\/strong> in an interview.<\/p>\n \u201cOne side has been that I can\u2019t stop doing dancehall totally because there are some songs which don\u2019t come in the highlife form.<\/p>\n \u201cSome melodies come which fits dancehall and then I have a huge following over these years because of dancehall, so it\u2019s not something that I can say 100 percent that I will stop doing it,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n \u201cBut then again, highlife has shown the other side of me and then it has shown that we are growing in what we\u2019re doing, so if this has actually opened different doors for me, then I need to pay attention to it.\u201d<\/p>\n He is known for popular tracks such as\u00a0\u2018Wahala Dey\u2019, \u2018Mene Woa\u2019, \u2018Dear Mama\u2019, \u2018Won Di\u2019, \u2018Jehovah\u2019, \u2018My Girl\u2019, \u2018Fire\u2019, \u2018Dutty\u2019, \u2018Not Your Business\u2019, \u2018Big Up\u2019\u00a0and\u00a0\u2018Pure Water\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n Epixode won the Reggae Dancehall Video of the Year in 2015 at the BASS awards with his \u2018Avatar\u2019 video.
