Credit: @flynimaboy \u2014 Twitter<\/p>\n<div id=\"article-text\">\n<p>Reigning VGMA Artist of the Year, KiDi, is asking fans not to judge him by his old unkind tweets.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview on <strong>Hitz FM<\/strong>, he reacted for the first time to some sneering tweets that were sent by him almost a decade ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just wish people would not define or judge me by who I was ten years ago. I am not even the same person I was a year ago,\u201d KiDi told <strong>Andy Dosty<\/strong> on <strong>Daybreak Hitz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p><div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"LabcP9Mq6Dg\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u2018I wish people will not judge me now by who I was ten years ago\u2019 \u2013 KiDi reacts to old tweets.\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LabcP9Mq6Dg?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>He expressed how he felt about the re-emergence of his old \u201cmean\u201d tweets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI felt very embarrassed,\u201d said KiDi. \u201cI felt down, sad, defeated, there were a lot of things happening in my mind at the time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Habibi\u2019 singer was greeted by backlash when he got to Ghana after his European tour.<\/p>\n<p>Coincidentally, the release of his EP, 4 PLAY, clashed with the trolls on social media.<\/p>\n<p>He further revealed how the incident affected his ability to socialize with fans at the EP listening session.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI remember when it happened I was at my EP listening session. I had to leave in the middle of it because I broke down in the middle of people who were around. It was just a lot.
