South Africa\u2019s \u2018Surviving Gaza\u2019 follows closely with 14 nominations.<\/p>\n<p>Tanzania\u2019s \u2018Tug of war\u2019 landed 12 nominations, while Uganda\u2019s \u2018Tembele\u2019 and Nigeria\u2019s \u2018Man of God\u2019 packed nominations in nine categories.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The feature film, Borga, which is a collaboration of Ghanaian and German creatives, was nominated for some major awards including the overall Best Film, Best Film in an African Language, Best Director, Achievement in Screenplay, Cinematography, Visual Effects, Screenplay and Production Design.<\/p>\n<p>Eugene Boateng who also doubles as the Associate Producer was nominated for the Best Actor in\u00a0 Leading Role.<\/p>\n<p>The actor has already won the German Screen Actors Award for best actor in a leading role with the film.<\/p>\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"oqBAL9VsDME\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"BORGA | OFFICIAL GHANA CINEMA RELEASE TRAILER \u2013 NEW RELEASE DATE Jun 24th 2022\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oqBAL9VsDME?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Adjetey Anang scored a nomination in the Best Actor in Supporting Role category while actress Lydia Forson landed a nomination in the Best Actress in Supporting Role category.<\/p>\n<p>Emmanuel Afffadzi was nominated for the Best Young\/Promising Actor award. Director York Fabian Raabe was nominated for the Best Director Award and the First Feature by a Director award.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Ghanaian film \u2018Road To My Father\u2019s Compound\u2019 was web-share\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Aaron Adatsi was nominated for the Best Actor in Lead Role while his co-star Bless Fortune scored a nomination for Best Actress in Lead Role.<\/p>\n<p>The director Benedict Yeboah was nominated for the First Feature by a Director award.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Road To My Father\u2019s Compound\u2019 also landed a spot in the Best Achievement in Cinematography and Best Achievement in Screenplay categories respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The Africa Movie Academy Awards will come off on October 30 in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>See the full list
