Some dignitaries and guests after the launch of Adonko Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n World Star Records Limited, a music and artiste management company in Ghana, has launched its flagship event, the\u00a0Adonko International Festival\u00a0slated for March 4 & 6, 2023.<\/p>\n Powered by local beverage producers, Adonko Company Limited, the event is scheduled to take place at\u00a0the Accra Sports Stadium\u00a0and would feature an array of Ghana\u2019s finest music stars.<\/p>\n Held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), the launch had in\u00a0attendance\u00a0several musicians including\u00a0Okuraseni Samuel, Andy and Kaakyire Kwame Appiah.<\/p>\n Also in attendance were some dignitaries and key stakeholders in the music and arts sectors including, Bessa Simons, President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA); Madam\u00a0\u00a0Janet Edna Nyame,\u00a0\u00a0Executive Director,\u00a0National Commission\u00a0on\u00a0Culture; and Nana Aboagye Dacosta, chairperson for the event.<\/p>\n The Adonko International Festival, which\u00a0will be held under the theme: \u201cFostering\u00a0Creativity\u00a0through to\u00a0Promote National\u00a0Development\u201d,\u00a0is aimed at\u00a0promoting\u00a0Ghana\u2019s rich music culture to the world while providing a platform for Ghanaian artistes to connect with music stars from other countries.<\/p>\n In his remarks, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of World Star Records Limited (WSR),\u00a0Ernest Djan,\u00a0said his team had reached out to all the top musicians in the country as well as a few others from Nigeria and other countries to perform at the event.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have reached out to almost all the musicians in Ghana and few in Nigeria for the concert.
