{"id":1210121,"date":"2022-09-24T06:36:40","date_gmt":"2022-09-24T06:36:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/09\/24\/masloc-disburses-group-loans-to-beneficiaries-in-a-r\/"},"modified":"2022-09-24T06:36:40","modified_gmt":"2022-09-24T06:36:40","slug":"masloc-disburses-group-loans-to-beneficiaries-in-a-r","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/09\/24\/masloc-disburses-group-loans-to-beneficiaries-in-a-r\/","title":{"rendered":"MASLOC disburses group loans to beneficiaries in A\/R"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"td-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\"  alt=\"\" title=\"MASLOC Ashanti\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/MASLOC-Ashanti-696x464.jpg\" data- class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image lazyload\"\/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/MASLOC-Ashanti-696x464.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"MASLOC Ashanti\"\/><\/noscript><\/div>\n<p><strong>Thirty-four trader groups received group loans totaling GH\u00a21.7million from the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) on Friday to help sustain their small businesses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The disbursement, which took place at Kumasi\u2019s Jubilee Park, benefited a total of 1,425 traders made up of 34 groups of 25 each.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the occasion, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MASLOC Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah promised the gathering that she would keep up the Ashanti Region\u2019s tradition of empowering women while also noting the current state of the economy and changing the repayment period from six to 12 months at a rate of 12 percent annually to help the beneficiaries repay their loans effectively.<\/p>\n<p>Further encouraging the beneficiaries in the area, the MASLOC CEO said that if they are able to complete their scheduled repayment as required, the traders could benefit from amounts from GH\u00a22,000 this year to GH\u00a25,000.<\/p>\n<p>Ashanti Region Manager of MASLOC Hajia Zeinab Sallaw also added that the decision to boost disbursement this year was motivated by former beneficiaries\u2019 ability to repay the loans that were granted to them in the past.<\/p>\n<p>According to MASLOC\u2019s regional manager, who was impressed with the traders in the Region, all beneficiaries must be committed to repaying these loans.<\/p>\n<p>Hajia Zeinab explained that the disbursed amounts have been reviewed from a GH\u00a21,000 to GH\u00a22,000 this year to further help impact and improve their businesses.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/MASLOC-Ashanti1.jpg\" data- class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-264642 lazyload\"\/><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-264642\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/MASLOC-Ashanti1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>In attendance was Bernard Antwi Boasiako, NPP Ashanti Region Chairman, Nana Ama Ampomah, NPP Ashanti Region Women Organizer along with other government functionaries in the region.<\/p>\n<p>MASLOC has provided Microcredit and Small Loans to start-ups and small businesses with fast, easy and accessible loans to grow and expand their businesses.<\/p>\n<p>With over 182,328 clients nationwide, MASLOC, which has offices in all the 16 regions and can be accessible in all the 228 districts, disbursed a total of over GH\u20b5228 million loans, as its key achievements, in its latest disbursement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Source: 3news.com|Ghana<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thirty-four trader groups received group loans totaling GH\u00a21.7million from the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) on Friday to help sustain their small businesses.
