{"id":1210051,"date":"2022-09-23T23:13:31","date_gmt":"2022-09-23T23:13:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/09\/23\/keke-of-dunsin-fame-makes-a-massive-return-as-sparqlyn\/"},"modified":"2022-09-23T23:13:31","modified_gmt":"2022-09-23T23:13:31","slug":"keke-of-dunsin-fame-makes-a-massive-return-as-sparqlyn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2022\/09\/23\/keke-of-dunsin-fame-makes-a-massive-return-as-sparqlyn\/","title":{"rendered":"Keke of Dunsin fame makes a massive return as Sparqlyn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"article-text\">\n<p>Ahmmed Kanneh Larweh was\u00a0born on February 2,\u00a01983, in Achimota, in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>He\u00a0got his Nursery, Primary, and Junior High School education at the Rives Academy International School located at Achimota, Accra.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed completed his Junior High School (JHS) education in 1998 and moved to the Ashanti Region to continue his education at the Asanteman Secondary School located at Suami and completed in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmmed was tipped by many of the people who knew him when he was just a young boy as one destined to make music when he started performing during his school\u2019s speech and prize-giving days when he was in class 4.<\/p>\n<p>The signs that many saw while he was just a boy became clearer when he decided to walk the path of music in 2003 after he had completed his Secondary School education.<\/p>\n<p>He has done active music from 2003 till now.<\/p>\n<p>As a musician, he was known as\u00a0<em>Kele<\/em> when he was with the music trio, <em>Dunsin<\/em> \u2013 crooners of the hit song \u2018\u0186y\u025bade\u025byie\u2019 back in 2008.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p><div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"0wH7HGao7tc\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"DUNSIN - OYEADIEYE.mp4\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0wH7HGao7tc?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>However, after he decided to go solo in 2019 and chart a new path for himself, he chose the stage name\u00a0<em>Sparqlyn<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Sparqlyn<\/em> as he is popularly called now is one of the respected people in the music space of Ghana because of the successes he has chalked in the industry for more than a decade.<\/p>\n<p>He is known to be one of Ghana\u2019s finest Hiplife\/Hip-hop and Afrobeats artists.<\/p>\n<p><em>Sparqlyn<\/em>\u00a0has rocked many stages in the years. In 2008 he was one of the best performers at <strong>Adom FM\u2019s<\/strong> Temafest.<\/p>\n<p>He also performed at the VGMA nominees jam at the Labadi beach back in 2009, he wowed patrons of the show with his spectacular performance.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"838\" height=\"1024\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Sparqlyn-1-838x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Keke of Dunsin fame makes a massive return as Sparqlyn\" class=\"wp-image-10032176261 lazy\"  data- title=\"Keke of Dunsin fame makes a massive return as Sparqlyn\"\/><figcaption>Sparqlyn<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>Sparqlyn<\/em> also performed at the <em>MTN Valentine Show<\/em> at the Kumasi Sports Stadium, the <em>Ashaiman to Da World<\/em> Concert organized by <em>Stonebwoy<\/em>, <em>Saminifest<\/em> which is also organized by <em>Samini<\/em>, Charterhouse\u2019s Audra Carnivals, <em>Kasapreko Festivals<\/em> Nationwide, <em>The Vita Milk Night with Kwabena Kwabena<\/em> and many others.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the borders of Ghana, <em>Sparqlyn<\/em> has also performed in other African countries. Notable among them are Nigeria and South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>With regards to awards, as part of the <em>Dunsin<\/em> music group, they got nominated for the Highlife Song of the Year category in 2009 at the prestigious Ghana  Awards.<\/p>\n<p><em>Sparqlyn\u2019s<\/em> contribution to <em>Dunsin<\/em> at the time also got them a nomination at the <em>4syte TV  Video Awards <\/em>in 2010 for <em>Best Group of The Year<\/em>, <em>Best Choreography of the Year<\/em>, and <em>Best Storyline of The Year<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, when <em>Sparqlyn<\/em> was still a part of <em>Dunsin<\/em>, the group also won international awards for the Most Exciting Group in Africa and <em>The Most African Video of The Year.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.myjoyonline.com\/keke-of-dunsin-fame-makes-a-massive-return-as-sparqlyn\/\">Source<\/a> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ahmmed Kanneh Larweh was\u00a0born on February 2,\u00a01983, in Achimota, in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
