It\u2019s not just tabloids, either.<\/p>\n<p>Why do they hate her? For carrying flowers at a memorial. Or for holding her husband\u2019s hand. For mourning. Or for not mourning enough.<\/p>\n<p>We truly need to call this what it is: a lot of people viscerally hate Duchess Meghan because she is Black. (Photo via Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Before we delve into the hysterics that British tabloids have shrieked in recent days, let us first look at the facts.<\/p>\n<p>Meghan returned to a country that reviles her, knowing that she will be interacting with people who resent her \u2014 at best.<\/p>\n<p>Why? She made public appearances. <\/p>\n<p>In every way, her behavior demonstrated respect and sensitivity. Meghan carried her own flowers at some point. (Photo by Chris Jackson\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Simply put, Meghan is a Black woman. <\/p>\n<p>She is also American and divorced \u2014 but Charles\u2019 former mistress is now Queen Consort without this kind of hate.<\/p>\n<p>Camilla is many things, but she is white. A certain sort of person can forgive that.
