In the second month of excellence in the English Premier League (EPL), six players have been nominated for the “Player of the Month” – five midfielders and a forward.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne<\/strong>, Bournemouth’s Philip Billing<\/strong>, Tottenham’s Pierre Emile Hojbjerg<\/strong>, Everton’s Alex Iwobi<\/strong>, Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey<\/strong> and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford<\/strong>, all stand a chance to win for the first time this season.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Nigerian versatile attacker and midfielder – Alex Iwobi<\/strong> remains the only named African player standing an equal chance to win as well.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old was a driven force in Frank Lampard’s side – played two games, contributing the only assist in West Ham United’s win and a goalless draw against Liverpool.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A surprising absentee was Norwegian forward Erling Haaland, who was last month’s player of the month and continued to have a momentum of performance – scored in all featured games – two goals which came against Aston Villa and Wolverhampton respectively.<\/p>\n
